00Agreement to terms

By accessing or using the FlipRated website at https://www.fliprated.co.uk or any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers.

01Who we are

FlipRated Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is 71-75 Shelton Street, London, England, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. For legal and support enquiries, contact us at legal@fliprated.co.uk.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use FlipRated. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly provide services to anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account immediately.

03Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at legal@fliprated.co.uk if you believe your account has been compromised. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we believe have been accessed without authorisation.

04Subscriptions and billing

FlipRated offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically unless cancelled before the next renewal date. All billing is processed through Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor, which acts as the Merchant of Record and handles VAT collection and remittance on our behalf.

If your payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is successfully collected. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Prices shown are exclusive of VAT where applicable. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. On cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current paid billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier.

We may update our pricing from time to time. We will provide reasonable advance notice of any price changes before they take effect for your subscription.

05Free tier

The free tier allows you to log up to 10 flip entries per month. Features including CSV export, the HMRC tracker, and category breakdowns are available on paid plans only. Free tier limits may change as the product develops. Your data is never deleted if you exceed free tier limits or downgrade — existing entries are preserved but you will not be able to add new ones until you are within your plan limits or upgrade.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service.
• Scrape, copy, or extract data from the platform by automated means.
• Use the service to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Sell, transfer, or assign your account to another party.

07Your data

You retain full ownership of the data you enter into FlipRated. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We will not sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than operating the service. On account deletion, your data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

08Disclaimer of warranties and accuracy

FlipRated is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Profit calculations provided by FlipRated are estimates based on publicly available platform fee information and may not reflect your actual fees, promotions, account tier, or individual circumstances. FlipRated Ltd is not a financial adviser. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, tax, or legal advice. You should verify all figures independently and consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser for matters relating to your personal tax obligations, including HMRC self-assessment and Making Tax Digital requirements.

09HMRC and tax information

The HMRC trading allowance tracker and related features are provided for general guidance only. The current UK trading allowance is £1,000 per tax year, but tax rules change and individual circumstances vary. FlipRated does not guarantee the accuracy of any tax threshold, rate, or calculation. You are solely responsible for your own tax affairs and compliance with HMRC requirements.

10Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FlipRated Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be limited by law.

11Intellectual property

All content, features, functionality, ratings, scores, branding, and software comprising the FlipRated service are owned by FlipRated Ltd or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own internal business and personal resale tracking purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our prior written consent.

12Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the service. Where we terminate your account, we will notify you and, where possible, provide an opportunity to export your data before termination takes effect. You may stop using the service at any time. Account deletion requests can be made via https://www.fliprated.co.uk/contact.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

14Dispute resolution

If a dispute arises between you and FlipRated Ltd, we encourage you to contact us first at legal@fliprated.co.uk so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. If we are unable to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days, the matter shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for any disputes arising under these terms.
